The Zip Series consist of five objects: Miss Zip, Walkyrie, Mr Zip, The Silent Scream and Mr Murphy
 
The zips enable people to open and close and therefore turn into a metaphor for opening and closing to internal and external circumstances and impacts. Moreover it’s a metaphor for self-determination and heteronomy.
See what you want to see, be influenced by things you want to know, but also be influenced without knowing and be manipulated.
Sometimes we are simply caught by a crossfire of influences and our zips are activated and used heteronomously.
In the ceramic work of “zip series” is shown in different aspects. The influence in our daily life is borderless, but at least we can, in some circumstances, choose where, when and what to open and let into our minds.
